Imaan [Islamic Faith]

IMAAN (Islamic Faith) is a divine gift from Allah. No one can purchase it, nor can make it, or can see it, or can get it with own accord. It requires a person’s willingness to get it, and Allah’s acceptance to gift it. Once Allah grants IMAAN into a heart, then that heart becomes illuminated with divine light. That light is essential to guide the person to go through tests in this life, and to arrive in Paradise in the next life. IMAAN works as a divine light to remove darkness that can interrupt the success for a believer. Holy Quran states:

فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَـٰمِ ۖ

“Those to whom Allah wills to guide, HE opens his/her heart to Islam (Islamic Faith)”

[Al-Quran 6:125]

The divine light of Islamic faith is spreading everywhere. From every corner of this earth, many people, who have been searching for the truth, are finding Islamic Faith suitable for them, and they are accepting IMAAN. People from all over the world, from all walks of life, are embracing Islamic Faith to find eternal peace. They are accepting Islam to change their lives for the better and to be happier. I have witnessed many people who accepted Islamic Faith with tearful eyes and when I took their declaration, I cried with them. That crying was with joy, and with a serenity in the heart. The declaration of Islamic Faith is:

Ash-hadu Alaa Ilaaha Illallahu was ash-hadu Anna Muhammadar Rasoolullah

(I declare that there is no other true god except Allah, and I also declare that Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is Allah’s Messenger.)

Through this declaration, a believer enters into the University of Allah’s DEEN (Codes of life). Then continues his/her study until death. Imaan has so much to offer, and there is so much to learn about it. Imaan is the entry visa for Paradise, and it must be understood well by the holder of it to avoid disaster. Satan as enemy tries to poison the Imaan, and to be saved from Satanic poison, correct knowledge about Imaan is necessary. The pure Imaan and righteous actions are the two fundamental requirements for gaining Paradise with Allah’s permission.

Considering the importance of knowledge about IMAAN (Islamic Faith) and teaching young people in the Quran class in Christchurch An-Nur Masjid, I was motivated to write this book for Revert Muslims and the modern educated young people, and for those who are keen to know about Islamic faith. I tried to write with examples and explanations. In this busy life, a Muslim needs to learn the basics first and then to extend the knowledge as much as he or she can without stopping. I hope this book will be a small step in deepening the understanding of Islamic Faith for the readers. May Allah accept my service and forgive me for my shortcomings. May Allah grant rewards for those who helped me with this book in many ways. I did my best, but I am prone to make mistakes. So, if anyone finds any mistakes, I appreciate to be corrected.
